A simple, nourishing recipe your pup will love
When it comes to boosting your dog’s nutrition naturally, few things are as wholesome and healing as bone broth. It’s packed with amino acids, minerals, and collagen — all of which help support joint health, improve digestion, and promote a shiny coat.
And the best part? You can easily make your own at home using our Wild Oz Kangaroo tails, brisket, and riblets.
What You’ll Need
-
2 x packs Kangaroo Tails
-
1 x pack Kangaroo Brisket
-
1 x pack Kangaroo Riblets
-
A few sprigs of rosemary (or any dog-safe herb you prefer)
-
½ cup Apple Cider Vinegar
-
Enough water to cover the bones
How to Make It
-
Add all the bones to your slow cooker.
-
Add herbs — we love rosemary for its natural antioxidants.
-
Pour in water just enough to cover the bones.
-
Add apple cider vinegar, which helps draw out the nutrients and collagen from the bones.
-
Cook on LOW for 15 hours — patience pays off here!
-
Once cooked, allow to cool slightly before handling.
-
Remove the bones carefully. Pull any remaining meat off and set aside.
-
Discard the bones (never give cooked bones to pets).
-
The slow-cooked kangaroo meat is now beautifully tender — perfect for dogs with sensitive stomachs, as it’s easier to digest.
-
Strain the broth to remove any bone fragments.
-
Refrigerate for 8 hours until set.
-
Once chilled, scrape off the fat layer on top and discard it.
-
Your Kangaroo Bone Broth is ready to serve!
Serving Suggestions
You can serve it as a nutrient-rich jelly, or warm it slightly into a comforting broth — either way, your pup will love it.
Bone broth is rich in glycine, an amino acid known for its gut-healing and anti-inflammatory properties. It’s perfect for dogs recovering from illness, with digestive issues, or simply as a delicious boost to their everyday meals.
💚 Tip: Store leftover broth in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze in portions for future use.
